Surrounding the Fountain of Rings are eight "Hermes Towers", which in ancient Greek mythology was a symbol to lead people to events. There are also flags such as the official Games flag and the other 23 national flags of countries where the games were being held before. There are also 48 willow oak trees with 23 of them having an engraved plaque on it to honor the countries that hosted the games before.
